Learn the secrets and dangers of bottom bending. Different from coining, bottoming has been a staple of the precision sheet metal trade for many decades. While no longer recommended by press brake manufacturers it is still widely used in the industry. Done properly and with experience, bottom bending is a valid way to form parts. At the same time just one mistake can severely damage the press brake.
